On 25th September, E-REDES, DATAMITE use case provider, organised a Business Exploitation Workshop in Lisbon, Portugal. The event brought together representatives from 14 different departments within EDP Networks Iberia to deepen the progress and potential of the DATAMITE project and its framework within E-REDES operations.
The main objective of the workshop was to showcase the progress made on the E-REDES DATAMITE pilot during the first reporting period of DATAMITE, focusing on improving data management and exploitation capabilities.
During the workshop, several key presentations were given by experts in the field:
- Santiago Cáceres Elvira (ITI) presented the DATAMITE project, outlining the objectives, the team and the results achieved in the initial 18 months.
- Jordi Arjona Aroca (ITI) presented the functional components of the DATAMITE framework.
- Mariano Blaya Andrey (IDSA) explained the Data Space concept, its importance and protocol.
- Ricardo Almeida Henriques (E-REDES) concluded the series of presentations with an overview of the business perspective of the pilot and the work done.
After the presentations, a dynamic group session allowed participants to propose innovative use cases for the DATAMITE framework. These use cases cover the three main areas of E-REDES operations: network management, asset management and customer engagement. Each use case will be analysed and evaluated to assess its applicability within the project. This process will determine the potential value that these innovations could bring, as well as establish a roadmap for their future implementation.
