The IEEE International Conference on Omni-Layer Intelligent Systems (IEEE COINS) 2024 took place during 29-31 July in a hybrid format from London and online. It is a premier global event focused on exploring and shaping the future of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) ecosystems, bringing together professionals and enthusiasts eager to seize the opportunities offered by cutting-edge digital technologies. The conference addresses a wide range of topics, such as AI, IoT, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Blockchain, Cybersecurity and Robotics.
One of this year’s themes was Smart Agriculture, and DATAMITE played a leading role in the discussions on this topic. The Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC) -a member of the DATAMITE consortium- led the track on Smart Agriculture, that consisted of two sessions with interesting talks about AI, data management and IoT appliances in the Agriculture field. During these sessions, Marcin Plociennik from PSNC presented a shared paper titled “Architecture of the Framework Supporting Data Monetization: Building Blocks to Foster Data Sharing in the Agriculture Domain”. Discussions took place on the data monetisation aspects and the related challenges in the Agriculture area.
