The APMS Conference took place in Kamakura, Japan, from 31 August to 4 September. This event brought together leading international experts from academia, industry and government who specialise in manufacturing, service and logistics systems. Attendees explored cutting-edge developments in cyber-physical-human production systems. The conference addressed key challenges and advancements in smart factories and warehouses, autonomous production systems, sustainable supply chains and human-centric AI applications. 

The conference featured original, high-impact academic contributions as part of its programme, with a paper on DATAMITE being one of the selected works. Martin Loers, from DATAMITE’s partner FIR an der RWTH Aachen, presented the paper “Supporting Strategic Decision Making for Data Monetization in the Era of Digital Transformation”. The work, carried out in the context of DATAMITE, introduces a framework of twelve distinct data monetization strategies derived from academic research and industry case studies.
