The Infocom World Conference 2025 took place on 26 November, combining an online event with an in-person gathering in Athens, under the theme ‘AI-Volution: A Brave New World!’. The annual meeting explored how AI and emerging technologies are transforming the business landscape, bringing together top decision-makers, ICT leaders and investors who are shaping the future.
The conference covered key topics in the following thematic sections: How AI is transforming the business landscape; how businesses can turn their data into a true advantage; the biggest cybersecurity risks in the new AI-driven reality; and how Europe can maintain its competitiveness in the AI race. Key speakers from Greece and abroad were brought together for the event. As in 2024, DATAMITE was present at InfoCom 2025 in two ways.
On the one hand, DATAMITE hosted the session ‘Data Monetisation and Interoperability: The DATAMITE Initiative’. The session featured four members of the consortium as speakers: Christos-Antonios Gizelis from OTE Group of Companies, Martin Loers from FIR an der RWTH Aachen, Udo Bub from 1001 Lakes, and Andrea Visentin from University College Cork. The session was moderated by Christos-Antonios Gizelis, together with Ioannis Chochliouros.
On the other hand, DATAMITE was represented during the whole day of the event at the OTE booth, where the partners of the consortium communicated and disseminated the project to the attendees through our trifold and OTE’s virtual assistant.
